Job Title: Concrete Estimator

Job Type: Full-Time (Subcontractor position negotiable)
Job Overview:
ECS Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent estimating skills, proficiency with QuickBooks, and the ability to effectively manage and generate bids of various scopes and sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project documents, blueprints, and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
- Use OST software for takeoffs and quantity calculations.
- Maintain organized bidding files and update project statuses regularly.
- Prepare and submit bids categorized by scope (totaling 1 - 5+ jobs per week - small, medium, large):
- Small projects: approximately 5 per week (< $500K)
- Medium projects: approximately 2-3 per week ($500K to $1.5M)
- Large projects: approximately 1-2 per week (> $1.5M)
- Regularly update and maintain ECS Limited’s pricing list.
- Maintain and expand a network of business contacts, ensuring continuous communication and relationship building throughout the bidding process.
- Actively seek and develop new partnerships through innovative ideas and proactive outreach (e.g., partnerships with pile companies, asphalt companies, property management firms).
- Collaborate closely with ECS Limited management, ensuring timely submissions of potential bids for approval.
- Add approved bids to a synchronized calendar shared between estimators and management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have proven experience in concrete estimation or related field.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks for bid and financial management.
- Experience with OST or similar estimating software.
- Strong understanding of concrete construction processes and materials.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated self-starter capable of independent work and proactive decision-making.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Subcontractor arrangement available for candidates able to manage their own taxes.
