Job Summary
The City of Nanaimo is seeking two permanent full-time Police Support Clerks. Under the supervision of the Manager, Police Support Services, the incumbent provides administrative, financial, and clerical support to the Finance, Fleet, and Administrative Sections, and to the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee of the Nanaimo RCMP Detachment.

Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed Grade 12 and have a minimum of 2 year’s related experience, including some experience in a policing environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Attainment and maintenance of RCMP Reliability/Security Clearance is mandatory. Applicants must possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a CUPE bargaining unit position based on a 35-hour work week, and subject to Article 1(d) - Probationary Period as set out in the Union Collective Agreement. The hourly wage is $36.81, increasing to $38.75 after 60 working days (Jan 2025 Rates).
