Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the kitchen by assisting with food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Assist in the preparation of meals during peak hours to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service.
- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices in the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- A passion for cooking and meal preparation, with a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
