About the role

Infinitek is proud to be partnering with a well-established forestry operation in Near Prince George, British Columbia to find a driven Forestry Supervisor who is passionate about sustainable forest management and ready to take a hands-on leadership role in timber development and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight : Supervise all phases of forest development contracts including layout, cruising, archaeology, and ecology work.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, forest legislation, and sustainable forest management (SFM) requirements.
  • Contractor Leadership : Manage and support contractor performance, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Permitting & Planning : Oversee the full cycle of cutting and road permit applications, ensuring timely and accurate data submissions.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with internal departments, government agencies, and stakeholders to support successful planning and operational outcomes.

Your Background

  • Education : Degree or Diploma in Forestry or a related discipline. Registration or eligibility as an RPF or RFT with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Experience : 2+ years of experience in forestry, including operational planning, cruising, harvesting, or silviculture.
  • Skills : Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge : Solid understanding of BC forestry legislation, policies, and modern forestry technology.
  • Mindset : A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for the outdoors.
