About the role

Sirius Personnel is a Placement and Headhunting Agency that Specializes in Sales and Marketing Professionals in Canada. (www.siriuspersonnel.com)

Profile : Our clients sells electrical equipment to commercial and utility clients across Quebec and some in the Maritimes and is looking for an Account Manager to sell into new and existing accounts. The clients include utility companies and large commercial clients.

Territory : Province of Quebec (mostly Montreal and surroundings) and Atlantic

Workplace : 3 days at home office and 2 office days (local to Montreal)

Products/Services : Mid and High-voltage electrical products and services

Salary : Base $110,000-$120,000

Commissions/Bonus : $20,000-$40,000

Car allowance : km/$

Expense’s reimbursement : All reasonable expenses reimbursed

Functions :

  • Drive business development throughout the full sales cycle—from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Deliver presentations and meet with clients to discuss projects and offer solutions.
  • Advise clients on capital projects and procurement planning to align with our offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to respond to technical questions, pricing requests, and proposals.
  • Use CRM tools to manage quotes, contracts, and customer interactions.
  • Build lasting partnerships with clients, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Follow up on quotes and proposals and negotiate when needed.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, pricing, and the competitive landscape—focus on selling value.

Requirements :

Development vs Maintenance : 40% vs 60%

Road vs Office : 40% vs 60%

Languages : French and English (written and spoken)

Education : A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or a related field) or a college diploma is required

Training : On the job training provided

Overnight Travel : Less than 15% overnight travel required

Years of experience : minimum of 8 years of experience in the field

Other requirements :

  • The candidate must be results-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of estimating and bid preparation is an asset

Transferable contacts : Experience selling to electrical utility companies is an asset

Transferable Knowledge : Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is a must, and experience with CRM software is an asset.
