Job Description:
This role reports to the Manager, Creative Services, with the following mandate:
- Provide creative services support and counsel on key print, digital and video projects for Canadian Personal Banking. The core accountability in this role is providing print, graphic and motion design project management support.
Job Description / Accountabilities:
- Manage print, digital and video projects while offering creative direction and solutions that support the communication, training and engagement of Canadian Personal Banking employees.
- Facilitate the creation of designs that are consistent with our brand guidelines so that they look and feel TD.
- Oversee all aspects of video pre-production, including, but not limited to: concept development, scripting, shoot co-ordination, liaising with clients and partners.
- Produce and direct, both in studio and in the field.
- Be the point person on all aspects of post-production: overseeing the edit with the editor, design with the motion graphics artist, and managing all levels of approvals.
- Pitch new creative solutions to go along with graphic design requests.
- Take part in creative sessions by providing creative input, suggesting creative concepts, and making solid recommendations based on their creative expertise
- Accurately proof all work – exceptional attention to detail is a must
- Manage numerous projects, including expectations with respect to timelines, scope, standards, priority and provide timely escalation of issues
- Process high volume of requests and coordinate competing priorities effectively by balancing scheduled and unscheduled requirements
- Occasional vendor management of creative projects is required
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in graphic design and/or video production or related experience Minimum 2-3 years working experience within an agency or in-house design environment
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- Flexible team player, self-motivated, ability to multitask and work both independently and within a group setting
- Strong balance of creative, technical, project management and relationship management skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet multiple deadlines and prioritize activities
- Knowledge of digital and offset print processes, such as colour issues, paper choices and the ability to recommend a print process based on the project specifications
- Sound understanding of design techniques; layout, user navigation, image manipulation, typography, colour management, and animation in PowerPoint Knowledge of video production and photography
Technical Requirements:
Expert working knowledge in the following applications:
- Adobe Creative Suites; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Professional
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript would be an asset
Working knowledge of the following applications considered an asset:
- Video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC, Adobe Photoshop CC, Apple Final Cut Pro X)
