This Seasonal role will assist the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor in the day-to-day maintenance of the overall facility.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Seasonal General Maintenance Worker is responsible for:
Carry out maintenance and/or cleaning tasks that are assigned by the Maintenance manager or Supervisor, including interior and exterior painting, minor drywall repairs, potholes repairs.
Assist the team with completing work-orders & preventative maintenance tasks submitted through the Angus Anywhere maintenance software
Ensure all parking decks, staircases, sidewalks, and entrance ways are free of litter, spills, cigarette butts and other forms of debris
Ensure all garbage containers and ash trays are emptied and cleaned on a regular basis
Keep all vehicles and equipment clean and regularly maintained
Perform repairs and preventative tasks on washroom fixtures, etc. and any other equipment to ensure they are maintained to a satisfactory health and safety standard.
Perform daily inspections of washrooms, entrance doors, food court seating
Installation of signs, posters, decals, and set up of other items as requested
Power Wash and clean areas as requested. Watering of plants and weed removal. Remove debris from standalone planters.
Keep all back corridors clean and safe; remove large debris such as skids, fixtures, bread trays, wood, etc
Operate power tools, and equipment such as Litter Vac, Sweeper, and Kubota
Upon use of vehicles, sweepers and litter vacuums, check and complete the daily inspection form
Assist with relocation or delivery of items for events and/or activities at Scarborough Town Centre
Health and Safety Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Bring any noted hazards to the immediate attention of your Supervisor
Cooperate in any accident, illness, injury or near-miss investigations as requested by a Manager or Supervisor
Be aware of and comply with any workplace or legislative requirements with regards to job safety
Any other role-specific duties pertaining to Health and Safety that are applicable to this position, either currently or in the future that may or may not be detailed above
Additional Duties:
Ensure that unsafe areas have pylons or barriers placed
Notify Supervisor immediately of any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies
Monitor potholes throughout the property and fill with cold patch
Assist Supervisor in other duties as required or requested
Safety Responsibilities:
Attend all required health & safety training
Follow safe work instructions and assists in prevention
Complies with H&S regulations and company policies
Does not operate any equipment without prior training
Use all required PPE where indicated
