About the role

The Intermediate Technician (T3) plays a critical role in supporting engineering personnel in fieldwork, design, drawing production, construction specifications, and quality control. Working under direct supervision, this role involves handling defined technical assignments with some independent judgment and providing guidance to junior technicians. The position requires a minimum of 6 years of certified technologist experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in field, design, and construction specification tasks to support engineering projects.
  • Perform technical drawing production, quality control checks, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct defined technical assignments with some level of independent decision-making.
  • Provide technical advice and mentorship to junior technicians in the same specialty area.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and senior technicians to meet project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Technologist certification in engineering technology, drafting, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in technical engineering support, construction documentation, or quality control.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of construction specifications, field operations, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to analyze technical information and apply engineering principles to assigned tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site at Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station and comply with nuclear safety protocols.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • CAD: 3 years (preferred)
  • technical engineering support: 6 years (preferred)
