Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Office Assistant Certification required
- Ability to recognize and establish priorities and to respond efficiently and effectively under stress
- Excellent communication skills, computer and phone skills
- Strong understanding of patient management software (Avimark preferred)
- High level of professionalism
- Strong attention to detail
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Assist with customer-facing duties at the front reception.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners and assist with client communication (verbal and written).
- Assist the Hospital Manager with various administrative duties.
- Assist veterinarians with animal examinations & treatments.
- Handle and restrain animals during procedures with care and compassion.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms and treatment areas.
- Assist with laboratory procedures and sample collection as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient information accurately.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage commensurate on experience
