Summary

We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Architectural Fabricator & Crating Specialist to join our team. This unique, hybrid role is critical to our success, involving the precision fabrication of exterior aluminum wall panels and the expert construction of custom crates to ensure our products arrive at their destination safely. The ideal candidate is a master craftsperson who takes pride in their work from the initial cut to the final, securely packed product.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and execute work from architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and form aluminum and other metal components using trade-specific machinery, including saws, shears, and press brakes.
  • Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to fabricate precision exterior wall panel frames.
  • Perform welding on aluminum components as required, adhering to the highest quality standards.
  • Design and construct custom wooden crates and shipping containers tailored to protect large, fragile, and high-value architectural panels.
  • Operate woodworking tools, including table saws and electric drills, to build robust crating solutions.
  • Securely pack finished panels, utilizing appropriate bracing and cushioning materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Conduct rigorous quality control inspections to ensure all products and packaging meet specifications.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

Requirements

Essential (Must-Have):

  • 3-5 years of proven, hands-on experience in metal fabrication, specifically with aluminum and architectural components.
  • Demonstrable experience building custom wooden crates for industrial or fragile goods.
  • Expert-level ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Mastery of hand tools, power tools, and machinery common to both metal fabrication and woodworking shops.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Assets (Highly Desirable):

  • Leadership experience in a prior role.
  • Experience in aluminum welding.
  • Valid Forklift Operator License.
