JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR OTA ON BOARD QUALITY ENGINEER
Experienced OTA Triage and Quality Engineer supporting post launch Model E Products. Engage with cross functional Global teams to resolve OTA Quality issues in the form of warranty, customer feedback or post launch. Must be committed to fostering a solid one team approach, while having fun and creating high value for our customers!

Lead initial triage for all Post Launch quality OTA issues using a wide variety of tools and provide development teams with proper root causes.

CAN, Cloud Logs, In Vehicle Logs

Capture logs from Management Lease Vehicles or Early Access Program members to help root cause issues.

Work on bench or vehicle setups to replicate issues and gather more logs when necessary.

Analyze OTA Quality Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics for designated Power Ups.

Drive OTA JIRA Quality issues to resolution utilizing best engineering and quality practices such as: 5Ds, Fishbones, IS/ISNOT, 8D, R/1000 projections and Warranty Analysis tools.

Create weekly JIRA Reports for responsible OTA items for Quality Issue Report to Executive Management weekly review.

Leverage connected vehicle backend data to provide FOTA or MMOTA on board issue projections on R/1000, CPU (Cost Per Unit), warranty impact analysis and overall quality projections.

Assist in Go-No-Go Production and Pilot OTA launch decisions. Maintain tracking sheet for feature content vs deployment schedule.

Present Quality perspective for critical on-board OTA issues utilizing analytical data and benchmarks to Executive Management on critical on-board OTA issues.
Key Job Deliverables:
- Maintain Leading and Traditional KPIs
- Establish/Track actions to achieve Best In Class (BIC) metrics
- Speak to all issues assigned
- Pro-actively address early rising customer facing issues by interacting real time data (using Operational Analytics dashboards and/or querying Cloud data) as well as customer communication channels (CRC, App Stores, etc.)
- A passion for trouble shooting and thirst for gaining a deeper understanding of multiple technologies across a complex ecosystem
- Keep a clear communication channel on daily work/activities with Direct Supervisor/Peers, while maintaining resilience to balance among daily/weekly new demands
Minimum Requirements:
- The minimum requirements we seek:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science or related scientific field
- 3+ years of experience in handling Connected Vehicle related Quality concerns
- 3+ years in triaging with CAN and Clod tools
- 2+ years - Understand and apply failure mode avoidance methods including linkage such as Quality History, Interface Analysis, DFMEA, and Design Verification Plan.
- 1+ year of experience with querying and utilizing large datasets to prove/disprove theories/investigations.
- 1+ years of working experience with:
- Connected Vehicle cloud-based systems
- Smart phone Apps
- Wireless devices and networks
- Telematics
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity
