About the role
Your route UAP Inc. is seeking a skilled Technician to join our team and support the automated warehouse system at our Cambridge facility. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing system performance to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on installed automated warehouse systems to guarantee consistent functionality and reliability.
- Oversee maintenance activities and manage spare parts inventory to maximize operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all technical tasks using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Deliver prompt, efficient support to operations with a commitment to “right first time” execution.
- Participate actively in operations meetings and provide emergency maintenance support as required.
- Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues while managing internal escalations with professionalism and urgency.
- Monitor and continuously improve maintenance processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and timely response.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to sustain and enhance overall system performance.
Under the hood Candidates Should Possess The Following Qualifications And Skills
- Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering disciplines.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Solid understanding of industrial automation, including sensor technologies, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic system faults.
- Skilled in performing routine maintenance and commissioning of mechatronic systems.
- Proficient in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and knowledgeable in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing automated system performance.

We have the largest Canadian distribution network of vehicle replacement parts.
