**About the Role:**
We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant with optical dispensing and frame styling experience. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, professional, and fashion-forward experience for every patient, while also supporting the clinic’s flow and growth.
**What You’ll Do:**
**Optical Dispensing & Styling**

Confidently guide patients in selecting frames that suit their prescription, style, face shape, and lifestyle

Accurately take optical measurements, dispense eyewear, perform adjustments, and handle repairs Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and benefits
**Clinic & Patient Care Support:**
- Assist the optometrist with pre-testing and diagnostic imaging
- Greet and engage patients to ensure a warm, welcoming, and professional experience
- Book appointments, manage patient communication, recalls, and reminders
- Process orders, manage warranties, and maintain inventory Payment processing, OHIP and private insurance verification, submission and reconciliation
**Clinic Presentation & Promotion:**

Ensure the optical gallery is clean, organized, and reflects current eyewear trends

Participate in merchandising, marketing ideas, and social media contributions
**What We’re Looking For:**

Previous experience in optical dispensing and frame styling is required

Strong sales experience

A passion for eyewear fashion and helping clients look and feel their best

A motivated, driven, and self-starter attitude — someone eager to help the clinic grow

Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment

Friendly, confident, and approachable personality with excellent communication skills

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Comfortable using computers (EMR systems, emails, spreadsheets etc)
Willingness to assist in various clinic duties as needed
**Position Details:**
Full-Time: Approximately 30 hours/week
Monday to Friday (1–2 evening shifts/week)
Hours may change based on clinic growth
