We're looking for a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to support general maintenance and repairs across our facilities. This hands-on role is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, and experienced in various trades including plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work.
Day Shift: 6am to 2pm OR 7am to 3pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair duties on buildings, systems, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic plumbing issues (e.g., leaks, clogs, fixture replacements).
• Carry out minor electrical tasks, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
• Conduct carpentry work including repairs to doors, windows, drywall, and basic furniture assembly.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as needed.
• Install hardware such as shelving, blinds, and appliances.
• Perform routine inspections toidentifypotential issues and escalate major repair needs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and facility emergencies.
• Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organizedat all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years or more ofexperience asa building maintenance technician, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license.

Work Environment:

• Work will take place in indoor, outdoor, and cold storage environments (temperatures as low as -18°C).
• May require climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
• Availability for after-hours emergency calls may berequired.
