About The Role – 34084 - Business Development Manager - Digital Sales
The Business Development Manager will develop, maintain, and manage digital sales portfolio for Orica’s digital business in Canada and will report to the regional Business Development Manager. This role is a combination of a traditional Business Development function and a Sales Rep function, from identifying and developing contacts at new target accounts all the way through close.
What you will be doing
Includes pipeline management from lead generation to closing sales, including the use of Orica’s CRM tools

Marketing (including crafting materials for and attending trade shows, creating and placing articles, creating and placing conference presentations)

Direct sales conversations and presentations to customers, discovering and documenting customer needs, developing offerings that meet those needs, and communicating with internal technology developers on continuously iterating offerings to deliver more customer value

Drafting and approving specific quotations (including pricing and deliverables)

Negotiations with customers to close sales

Contract setup and management to ensure deliverables are communicated to the technology team and meet the needs of customers

Develop and maintain relationships with customer decision makers: technical users, influencers, financial decision makers, and others)
Travel required primarily for customer site meetings and conferences. Estimate around 50% travel.
What you will bring
- Mining degree and/or experience in the mining industry
- Great communication, presentation, and negotiating skills
- Willing and able to travel up to 50%
Your qualifications
- Experience in mining specifically in digital technology (software, information systems, communication systems, navigation systems)
- Experience in selling technology products in the mining industry
- In addition to English, French and/or Spanish language fluency is a plus

$ 115,000 – $151,000 CAD

Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
