Job Title: Mental Health Capacity Building Coordinator, Permanent Full-Time

Are you passionate about leading and supporting the mental health of youth in our community? Do you build strong connections and have the capacity to present and deliver your ideas to inspire innovative ways of promoting wellness in schools?

Living Sky School Division is seeking a dedicated School Coordinator to lead and support their Mental Health Capacity Building (MHCB) initiative. This role is central to promoting mental health and wellness in our community, providing leadership, and fostering collaboration with various partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with school and community partners to create comprehensive action plans.
  • Organize and participate in mental health awareness events.
  • Lead and supervise MHCB staff, ensuring quality and consistency in programming.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and oversee necessary evaluations.
  • Manage financial resources and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in health or social sciences (e.g., social work, psychology, public health).
  • 3+ years of experience in mental health promotion and prevention.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of mental health, wellness, and youth development.

Work Schedule

  • 1800 hours per year, including summer programming.
  • Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Based out of Central Services, Living Sky School Division

About Living Sky School Division No. 202

Education Administration Programs

Living Sky School Division encompasses a wide geographic area including the Battlefords, many communities, villages, First Nation communities, and Hutterite colonies. We are located in the heart of wheat and oil country.

Currently, 28 schools are located in 19 communities. Our schools include PreK-12, elementary, high schools, and alternate schools with a population of approximately 5,300 students. Our diverse student population is reflected in a wide variety of programs that exist throughout the schools to meet the guidelines of the Saskatchewan Core Curriculum and the local needs of the community.
