About The Work Environment Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Vancouver offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

You have developed subject matter expertise in deposits that you enjoy applying to coach a team and drive a business.

About the qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience working in deposits product management.
- 8+ years of experience leading a deposit product team.
- Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- Leadership experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies. Product Owner Certification (e.g. Certified Scrum), or similar, a definite asset.
- Leadership experience with strategic planning and business casing, roadmap design, execution, and cross-functional collaboration, with P&L accountability.
- Motivated, driven, self-starter. Ability to delegate effectively and influence across the organization. Excellent judgement in overcoming challenges and success in influencing senior management.
- Demonstrated leadership excellence in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, while managing project delivery, costs, and financial performance.
- Familiarity with the requirements under the Trust and Loans Companies Act and the Bank Act.
- Prior experience with deposit core system migration preferred.
- Prior ALCO experience preferred.
About The Day-to-day
- Manage the deposit business line including product vision, strategic roadmap, pricing, P&L statement, and delivery priorities
- Manage, motivate and develop direct reports through ongoing performance development.
- Oversee a team managing a matrix delivery squad structure and ensure effective execution against business priorities (including sound, well-articulated requirements and strategic backlog management) within biweekly sprint cycles.
- Lead design of new products, scaling of core capabilities, and building well controlled processes.
- Lead the teams’ efforts and hold accountability to proactively manage risks, adhere to internal policies, demonstrate regulatory compliance, and respond to regulatory updates and inquiries including those which may cut across multiple business lines.
- Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to senior leadership on the strategic direction, roadmap progress, team performance and business results.
- Prioritize the products, services and capabilities that are most important to have in place to ensure competitiveness in the market, based on a keen awareness of industry and regulatory changes.
- Monitor and manage the top line and bottom line of the deposits business to maximize profit to the organization, including maintaining an effective relationship with Treasury and Finance to ensure responsible management of the balance sheet.
Compensation Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $200,000 and $225,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
