About the Role:
Due to business growth, the Company is now searching to add an experienced, dynamic, client-centric and results-driven Account Manager to the team who will be responsible for growing the business, building brand awareness, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues and ensuring the successful execution of AV services for live events within North America.
Areas of responsibility of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
New Business Development / Sales:
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads, develop new business opportunities and build brand awareness;
- Develop and present proposals and contracts to clients;
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiations to closing deals;
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services;
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPI’s;
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system;
- Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies.
Client Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients;
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions for each of their events;
- Provide project status updates to clients, as required;
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients before, during (on-site) and after events.
Event & Project Management:
- Manage budgets, expenses, schedules, timelines and resources for each event;
- Ensure that all legal, regulatory and safety documents related to each event are filed on time and monitored to ensure compliance with laws and regulations;
- Attend all client events in person and provide on-site support to colleagues and Client to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction;
- Monitor project status, troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise;
- Coordinate with internal colleagues/teams to ensure seamless execution of live events.
About our ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this amazing role will be a proactive and experienced AV sales professional, an effective communicator and a strong project manager with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service and creating memorable experiences for clients with each live event. To succeed in this role, the Account Manager will have all or most of the following skills and experience:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of national Account Management experience (within North America), preferably from within the audio-visual industry and/or live events industry;
- Creative and effective prospecting and new business development skills for lead generation;
- The ability to create concise and compelling sales proposals and client presentations and successfully close new business;
- Highly proficient written and oral English communication skills and confident and engaging presentation skills;
- Strong project management, financial and budgeting skills related to live events;
- Impeccable client service and client management skills (remote and onsite);
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, CRM (experience using Dynamics 365 is an asset) and project management software/tools;
- A professional work ethic, strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills;
- High attention to details, strong and proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills while remaining calm and focused, even during stressful times;
- Strong internal and external motivational skills;
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team and with external partners;
- A high level of patience, respect, energy, loyalty, emotional intelligence and collaboration;
- An approachable personality, an abundance of energy, a great sense of humour and a high level of adaptability;
- The ability to travel within North America, as required, for on-site live event management and industry events.
This exciting role includes a compensation package (based on experience) that includes a market-competitive base salary, commission (paid quarterly on gross revenue), comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits (eligible after the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period), business expense coverage (cell phone, etc.); 2 weeks’ annual paid vacation, 3 annual paid sick days; 2 annual paid bereavement days; annual professional development coverage, hybrid work model (2 days per week in office); free onsite parking, business casual office dress code, an amazing corporate culture and the opportunity for career growth based on performance.
