Position Overview Reporting to the Director of PHCC and under the guidance of the the Managers, maintains scheduling and relief in collaboration with the Managers.
This position will be situated in the Provincial Health Contact Centre, which is operated by Misericordia Health Centre, in cooperation with Manitoba Health and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This internationally-recognized contact centre supports health and social service delivery calls through its 22-inbound and outbound telephone-based programs.
Experience
- Experience in a similar or directly related position, preferably unionized staffing including Nursing and Allied Health.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer keyboard skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in computerized scheduling preferred (ESP).
- Previous experience in customer-related service.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Successful completion of secondary education (Grade 12).
- French is considered an asset.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable
Qualifications And Skills

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, French an asset, both orally and in writing.

- Ability to work in an organized, efficient and professional manner.
- Ability to handle pressure situations to meet varied and unexpected demands.
- Must have effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and advise regarding Collective Agreement.
- Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.
Physical Requirements Not Applicable
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
Interviewed candidates may be called upon to participate in a skills assessment.
