About the role
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking dependable and customer-focused individuals to join our cafeteria services team within a healthcare facility. As a Cafeteria Service Associate, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food service in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and fluency in both English and French.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all food preparation and service areas
- Support daily operations including restocking supplies and assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors
- Adhere to all workplace safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient cafeteria operations
Key Requirements:
Experience:
- Previous experience in a cafeteria, institutional food service, or hospitality environment is considered an asset
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
Skills:
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Availability:
- Availability required for morning shifts, approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (It's a Part time role initially)
Language Requirement:
- Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory
Other Requirements:
- Must provide a valid and clear Criminal Record Check prior to employment

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
