Due to growth, we are currently seeking an Senior Accountant to join our team.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Finance of the Company, the Senior Accountant will be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves, experienced professional not afraid to do what is necessary to get the job done right. This role requires accomplishment of multiple finance and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate for this role must have experience in Real Estate Development and Property Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Group Financial Statements and all related activity including Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Financial Reporting, Operational Reporting, Statutory Filings, and conduct detailed Post-Close Analysis.
- Ensure timely and quality reporting and provide precise information.
- Provide support with FP&A including but not limited to Financial Forecasting, Annual Budgeting Planning, Cash Flow Forecast, Financial Analysis, etc.
- Support with Audits (Internal & External).
- Support regarding developing Accounting Procedures to improve Internal Control, and efficiency.
- Provide support with TMI, AR & Cash Management including but not limited to Cash Deposits, Tenant AR RECS, Monthly AR Report Preparation and Analysis, Cash Receipt Applications, etc.
- Ad-Hoc projects as directed.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented, senior accounting leadership role with real estate development and property management.
- Professional Designation – CPA (or international equivalent).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating complex financial data to senior management as a true business partner.
- Ability to examine, develop, re-engineer and propose recommendations regarding financial policy and procedures to improve internal control, efficiency and oversight.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Job Costing required.
- Proven skill and experience with Excel.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Yardi Voyager is required.
- Advanced Financial Modelling Skills is required.
