About the role
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Phlebotomy Technician course
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of Medical Science/Technology Program or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (Assistant)
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

- Perform laboratory tasks under the supervision of a qualified technologist, including blood sample collection, specimen preparation, and routine testing procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, prepare chemical reagents, and ensure proper quality control documentation.
- Process and prepare specimens for referral to external laboratories, ensuring timely documentation and communication of results.
- Assist in routine laboratory maintenance, including equipment upkeep, temperature monitoring, and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
- Extensive computer competency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, time management and record-keeping skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to deal with public/patients on specimen collection
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Assets:
- Bilingual
- Excellent attendance record (records will be reviewed)
- Experience in Meditech software application(s)
- Experience in Phlebotomy
- Experience in Electrography
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.98-$29.98 per hour
