Status: Part-time Temporary Support

Hours: Upto 24 hours per week

Salary: EPEW PT Support Band 7 ($28.35 – $32.86)

About The Program Support Officer Role The incumbent will provide direct support to Academic Leadership within the Faculty of Health Sciences & Wellness’s Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) team and its extended ecosystem, delivering a comprehensive range of services to adult learners, instructors, coordinators, and external stakeholders. A significant focus of this role includes coordinating scheduling and clinical placement support, which are critical to the delivery of high-quality, learner-centered programs. Additional responsibilities span administrative, program, financial, human resources, learner support, marketing, and inter-departmental coordination.

Acting as a key resource, the Program Support Officer supports learners, facilitators, instructors, and administrators in applying CPL academic policies and procedures, particularly those related to clinical placements and scheduling logistics. As such, the incumbent plays a pivotal role in enhancing Humber’s adult learning environment through ongoing service improvements. The volume and diversity of interactions, especially with learners and cross-functional teams, demands a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and customer service excellence

Education Three (3) year diploma or equivalent in the following or related fields:

  • Health & Wellness

Experience/Skills Minimum of three (3) years of progressive administrative or student advising experience in a post-secondary environment.

  • Experience compiling and analyzing research-based data from various sources, producing reports, and identifying trends from data to develop solutions and strategies.
  • Experience with proof reading communications.
  • Experience with a variety of communication platforms.
  • Experience with advising students on courses and programs selection.
  • Experience in interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Experience with special events.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to use office equipment – phone, photocopier, printer, fax and troubleshoot technical minor problems.
  • Proven excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Occupational Health and Safety training is considered an asset.
