In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electronic data interchange systems to ensure seamless, secure, and compliant communication between our internal systems and those of our business partners. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to align technical solutions with the organization's operational and strategic needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy EDI workflows that meet business requirements.
- Integrate EDI systems with internal applications (ERP, CRM, etc.) and external partner platforms.
- Configure and maintain conversion tables, business rules, and EDI workflows.
- Monitor EDI transactions to promptly detect and resolve errors and exceptions.
- Ensure the stability, reliability, and ongoing performance of EDI systems.
- Provide technical support to internal users and external business partners.
- Collaborate with partners to establish and maintain stable and compliant EDI connections.
- Manage the onboarding of new partners, including configuration, testing, and validation of EDI flows.
- Ensure compliance with recognized EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
- Maintain accurate documentation of EDI processes, data mappings, and configurations.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and modernization of EDI processes.
- Stay informed on evolving EDI technologies and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
Position Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN).
- Demonstrated experience with EDI translators (e.g., IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Gentran, or equivalents).
- Functional knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and their integration with EDI solutions.
- Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics environment is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring data and transactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in both French and English is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of APIs and web services for hybrid integrations is considered an asset.
