KPCL is seeking an experienced QA/QC Project Coordinator to join our projects team at Cameco Cigar Lake Operations.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Implementation of KPCL’s Quality Management System;
- Develop project specific Inspection and Testing Plans with assistance of project team;
- Coordination and management of subcontractor and supplier quality submittals;
- Development of RFI’s, Submittals, and Project Plans with assistance of project team;
- Maintain checklists for quality standards on all components of project scope;
- Ensure correct testing procedures are followed for quality control purposes;
- Identify non-conformances and perform audits of procedures;
- Support technical document control on file management and other paperwork;
- Management of project specific quality turnover packages;
- Communicating information clearly and effectively to all co-workers, foreman and superintendents;
- Listening and carrying out instructions diligently, and speaking up when instructions are unclear, not understood or the hazards are not identified or mitigated;
- Actively participating, promoting and engaging others in a culture of safety amongst employees, subcontractors and clients;
- Willingness to travel between jobsites and work overtime when required; and
- Any other duties as may be assigned by Employer, from time to time.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Education: Completion of post-secondary education in construction management, civil or geological engineering program
- Experience: 5-7 years of industry experience
- Industry Exposure: Experience working outside of a corporate office environment, preferably in the heavy construction or related industry
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop strong relationships and effectively consult and influence leaders across the organization
- Adaptability: Quick to respond to changes while maintaining alignment with long term direction
- Motivation: Energized by complexity and challenges, thriving in dynamic and evolving environments
- Process Improvement: Skilled with diagnosing and defining areas for improvement, and collaboratively creating resolve through processes, people and systems
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence individuals in different disciplines and at different levels
- Judgment and Problem Solving: Strong judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient with BlueBeam and Microsoft Office 365, considered an asset if you have experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD
