Training Summary
Are you between the ages of 15 and 30 and looking to build the skills needed for sustainable employment? Our Skills for Success Training is designed to support young adults who are unemployed or facing precarious work situations in the Northeast region of British Columbia.
This 5-week training program equips you with practical tools and personalized guidance to help you succeed in today’s workforce.
Eligibility Requirements
- Aged 15-30 years
A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Living in the Northeast region of BC
Not a fulltime student in either high school or post-secondary training
Not actively participating in another labour market program
Unemployed or precariously employed
Committed to finding a new path to sustainable employment
Competencies
Ideal participants will demonstrate the following:
- Are committed to completing the full 5-week training program
- Are punctual and behave in a professional manner
- Have reliable internet access if joining from outside Dawson Creek
- Are motivated and serious about finding meaningful employment
