Quolus Construction is currently seeking:
An experienced traffic control person for one of our multi-residential projects. The right candidate should have minimum 2-3 years experience and be comfortable working at a busy site.
Duties will include:
- Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible;
- Directing drivers, pedestrians, and workers to safe routes around road construction sites;
- Reviewing traffic management plans;
- Setting up and providing traffic control specifications;
- Responding to questions from members of the public regarding traffic direction, alternate routes, and driving directions;
- Performing other duties as required.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience working in traffic control;
- A BCCSA approved Traffic Control Person certification;
- Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment or alone while maintaining a safety-first mentality;
- Follow traffic regulations and safety procedures while adapting to last minute schedule changes;
- Communicate effectively and exercise tact and diplomacy while interacting with the public;
- Comfortable with working full time, 40 hours per week;
- Must be able to commute to and from work;
- Must own PPE.
