The function of Chief Executive Officer will lead the Company’s business in the financial services field, oversee all the company’s operations & day-to-day activities and establish a strategy to develop business in compliance with the Canadian laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, review and revise Company’s business strategy and objectives, with a particular focus on market entry
- Oversee and control day-to-day Company’s operations, manage daily business activities
- Conduct the business monitoring, general finance and budget planning, business reporting as required
- Promoting, demonstrating and embedding a strong compliance culture
- Liaise and report to the relevant state bodies. Establish and maintain business relationships with the partners and vendors
- Act as key person for the oversight of all outsourcing relationships, including implementation of effective and sustainable controls
- Oversee systems and controls to identify and mitigate potential areas of business vulnerability and risks/gaps and develop/implement pragmatic corrective action plans
- Prepare reports for the Board and/or shareholder, auditors and external state bodies as appropriate
- Keep up to date with all relevant regulatory changes as well as evolving best practices, carrying out gap and business impact analysis
- Manage team of professionals in Canada
Requirements:
- Experience of being approved as an Executive or Director/UDP by CIRO (IIROC) and be ready to pass through this process with our company / occupy a position equivalent to an Executive or a Director/UDP at a related or affiliated firm registered with a securities regulatory authority
- A university diploma along with experience for not less than 5 years in financial markets (financial services industry) or in the relevant fields
- Successfully completed Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course (Qualifying Examination)
- A strong working knowledge of Canadian financial services regulations and requirements
- Have recent experience in retail financial services (ideally brokerage) in Canada
- Have strong leadership skills
- Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, where non-routine and/or complex issues are common
- Strong commercial expertise, with the skills and experience required to lead the sales and business development team in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Be able to handle complex issues, projects, and processes
- Demonstrate strong moral and ethical principles. A willingness to learn, accept accountability, demonstrate initiative and support effective co-operation
- Strong sense of integrity and responsibility
