Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Associate to join our team in a fast paced distribution warehouse. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our distribution processes. This position involves various tasks that require attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Duties
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Operate forklifts to move heavy items within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks, accurately selecting items for shipment based on customer orders.
- Maintain an organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols at all times.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for operating various types of equipment safely.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts , is highly desirable.
- Experience with order picking processes and warehouse management systems will be advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.
