About the role

Golden West Broadcasting has been connecting communities for over 65 years. We are proud to tell local stories on our radio stations and digital news outlets across Western Canada. And together with Homefield, we are proud to help local businesses grow through effective advertising, marketing, and organizational development solutions. We are committed to finding and developing people who share our passion for local communities.

We are looking for a Part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. Internally known as a Customer Support Administrator, you’ll report to the Sales Manager and support our sales team in completing administrative tasks to ensure our clients are served with accuracy.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the sales team by entering contracts into our order system, creating proposals for clients, and generating reports
  • Proactively track all the details to ensure we fulfill orders correctly. This includes sending radio commercial requests to writers and digital ad requests to graphic designers, following up on third party vendor requests, and assisting with seasonal promotions.
  • Provide general office support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, submitting payables summaries, tracking inventory, and distributing mail.
  • Provide dedicated administrative support to the Sales Manager

We’d love to meet you if you are:

  • Highly organized and have a keen attention to detail
  • A team player. When your team is successful, you feel successful
  • A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Tech savvy. Proficiency in Windows and Office are required
  • Positive and willing to learn

What We Offer in Return:

  • We act with integrity, innovation, and agility – and we strive to create an environment where you can do the same.
  • A strong focus on giving back to our communities.
  • Regular coaching and ongoing development opportunities, including a career mapping program.
  • A caring environment where the health, safety, and well-being of our current and future team members is a priority.

Don’t meet every requirement? Studies show that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every qualification. Golden West is committed to providing a fair and equitable work environment and encourages applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities.

About Golden West Broadcasting

Broadcast Media Production and Distribution
201-500

We tell stories that matter. During times of crisis or celebration, difficulty or joy, we tell the stories that are the fabric of life in the community. Positioned outside major urban centres, we shine the spotlight on small communities, highlighting the unique interests of our audience with information they can’t get anywhere else. We grow by giving back to these communities: highlighting local musicians, supporting fundraising initiatives, and amplifying nearby events. Golden West was born on the AM dial, but has always embraced new technology. Early on we adopted FM radio, then websites, now apps and voice-activated technologies to provide local news and information.
