Real Estate Law Clerk (3+ Years) – Hybrid (GTA or Downtown Toronto)
Our client is seeking a highly capable and motivated Real Estate Law Clerk with 3+ years of experience to join a well-established legal practice located in the GTA or downtown Toronto. This is a hybrid opportunity offering flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful work on a wide range of real estate transactions.
About the Role:
This practice focuses on a broad spectrum of real estate and financing matters, including complex property transactions and commercial lending. You will work on files involving purchases, sales, leasing, development, and financing of real property, supporting a busy and dynamic legal professional.
Who You Are:
You’re a self-starter who knows how to take initiative. You’re confident managing files independently and understand the importance of keeping transactions moving forward. You’re resourceful, organized, and know how to navigate issues with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage commercial and lending real estate files from start to finish
* Prepare, review, and manage transaction documents including agreements, reports, and closing materials
* Handle title and off-title due diligence;
* Communicate directly with clients, lenders, and third parties to coordinate key file milestones
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively to ensure smooth and timely closings
Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a real estate law clerk, preferably with exposure to commercial and/or financing matters
* Proficiency in industry-standard legal software
* Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and thrive in a self-managed structure
