City of Langford Police Services - Court Liaison Officer and Exhibits Clerk

If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply to be a Police Services Court Liaison Officer and Exhibits Clerk at the West Shore RCMP Detachment!

The Police Services Court Liaison Officer (“CLO”) and Exhibits Clerk processes all Court and Exhibits related matters and acts as the liaison between members of the West Shore RCMP Detachment, Crown Counsel and Court personnel. In the CLO role, you will process various court documents and reports, along with manage and maintain court dispositions and the JUSTIN database. You will also transfer and facilitate the delivery of exhibits to various locations, ensuring adherence to all applicable policies and legislations.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Grade 12 Diploma and a minimum of five (5) years experience in a police administrative environment

  • Experience in court matters and exhibit handling is considered an asset

  • Training and/or experience in the use of recognized police computer software including RMS, JUSTIN, CPIC, CJIM, IntelliBook and PAIN

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

  • Qualify under the British Columbia Police Act to receive appointment to Special Provincial Constable status

  • Successful completion of a Firearms Safety Training Course and/or be the holder of a valid Canadian Possession and Acquisition Firearms License

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is mandatory

To be successful in this position, you must be proficient in a variety of computer systems and software applications, and the ability to receive, prepare, and track various documents and exhibits while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality. You are organized and work effectively individually and as a part of a team, with a sense of humour, and the ability to take your work seriously but not yourself!
