The North Island department of Emergency Medicine in Campbell River is currently looking for Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide locum coverage. North Island Hospital Campbell River and District is the regional center for North Vancouver Island, serving an immediate population of close to 40 000 and a regional population of over 50 000. The ER has about 25,000 visits per year (70 visits per day). Local specialties include: ICU, general surgery, anesthesia, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, plastic surgery, ENT.
Applicants must hold CCFP-EM or FRCPC Emergency Medicine, and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
Affiliation with the University of British Columbia’s Island Medical Program provides teaching opportunities to medical students and residents.
