FRONT END DEPARTMENT MANAGER – FULL TIME
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead and coach customer service, cashier and courtesy clerk team to include hiring, scheduling, training and assigning duties.
- Responsible for PODIUM cash management procedures.
- Responsible for ordering and inventory control of tobacco and confectionary.
- Responsible for Business Process Scorecard.
- Resolve problems that arise such as employee shortages, balancing issues, customer complaints and product recalls.
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness and customer service.
- Uphold and comply with Sobeys company procedures and policies in all situations.
- Uphold and comply with food safety & sanitation procedures and policies legislated by Alberta Health Services.
- Uphold and comply with safe & health practices legislated by Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S).
- Ensure paperwork as set by store management is followed and completed as expected.
- Perform all other related duties assigned by store management.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly motivated and team orientated.
- Possess strong leadership abilities.
- Works in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability to manage resources ensuring established service levels are achieved at all times.
- Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends.
