BILINGUAL ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN EDUCATOR
Petit Architect Design for Kids is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of designers, architects, and sustainability advocates. Through engaging courses, workshops, and camps, we provide hands-on learning experiences in architecture and sustainable design. Our mission is to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and environmental responsibility in students of all ages (4 to 15)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you a creative individual who loves working with children? Are you fluent in French and passionate about education, design, and hands-on learning? Petit Architect is looking for a French-Speaking Educator to join our team year-round to help deliver engaging workshops and programs focused on architecture, sustainability, and creativity for kids aged 6–12.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead in delivering architecture classes/workshops in French to children in afterschool settings, community spaces, and event settings.
- Help develop and adapt lesson plans and activities to be delivered in French, ensuring they are age-appropriate, interactive, and fun.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage classroom materials and supplies.
- Work closely with other team members to support a range of educational programs throughout the year (in-school workshops, Pro-D Days, weekend events, seasonal camps, etc.).
TYPE OF WORK:
- Part time contract work to start, possible employment after.
- Must be able to work from 3pm to 6pm, minimum 3 days per week, and/or 9am to 5pm on weekend days.
- In Around Vancouver
- Flexible hours
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluent in French and English is mandatory
- Experience teaching or working with children in educational or camp settings is an asset
- Background or strong interest in architecture and/or design
- Skilled in hands-on crafts, drawing, and/or model making
- Energetic, creative, dependable, and enthusiastic about teaching
- Criminal record check will be required and Red Cross Certification is an asset
