1 ‑ Temporary Full Time ‑ Coordinator

Regional Cancer Care

It is a condition of this posting that your home unit can accommodate your temporary absence in the event

The Coordinator Outpatient Nursing and Quality Initiatives, under the direction of the Manager, is responsible for

organizing, coordinating and supervising the daily activities of the Ambulatory Outpatient Clinics and developing,

coordinating , implementing and evaluating department quality initiatives.Must provide patient care or services in a

manner that is consistent with TBRHSC mission and reflects the core values of Patient & Family Centred Care.Must

treat all information concerning patient affairs or illnesses and/or hospital business as confidential, privileged

information, which must never be discussed except in the course of duty.Must be accountable for ensuring the safest

patient care and services and for recognizing and reporting safety incidents or potentially unsafe conditions.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

* A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing

* Unencumbered registration with the College of Nurses on Ontario

* Minimum 2 years Oncology Nursing Experience

* Current deSouza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification or equivalent

* CNA certification in Oncology or willing to obtain

* Knowledge and experience with Quality and Risk Management

* Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety policies and practices

* Experience resolving and investigating patient and staff safety reports

* Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice

* Demonstrated commitment to the principles of Patient Family Centred Care

* Demonstrated commitment to professional practice and contribution to professional workplace/environment

* Ability to embrace change and quality improvement in the work environment

* Knowledge and experience of Change Management

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and performance management skills

* Demonstrated ability in handling conflict, demanding circumstances and multiple priorities

* High level of self initiative and direction

* Ability to work effectively individually and within a team setting

* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

* Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Groupwise, Microsoft Office, Powerpoint and Excel

Salary Range: $56.884 to 66.571
