Job: Server/Bartender – Seasonal, Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual Positions

As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service across multiple areas of the resort, ensuring guests have a fantastic experience from start to finish. Whether taking orders, making recommendations, preparing beverages, or maintaining a clean and organized workspace, your role is key in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and knowledgeable service to guests in all food and beverage outlets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all menu items, beverage offerings, and promotions.
- Assist guests with menu selections and offer recommendations when requested.
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
- Process guest payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and room charges.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently.
- Ensure the service area remains clean, stocked, and organized, including replenishing condiments and beverage stations.
- Perform daily, weekly, and side duties as assigned.
- Promptly report guest concerns, complaints, or issues to a supervisor for resolution.
- Receive liquor and supply orders, organizing them properly.
Competencies
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Demonstrated accountability, including time management, following instructions, and cost consciousness.
- Ability to work as part of a team, fostering positive working relationships and adapting to change.
- Capable of managing multiple service requests and organizing them for efficient service.
- Proficiency in operating a computerized POS system.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to issue change without a calculator.
- Knowledge of food and beverages, including mixing alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and a basic understanding of wine.
Conditions of Employment:
- Flexible scheduling is required, including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Must be 19 years or older to work in the Casino and obtain a Gaming License from the Gaming Policy & Enforcement Branch (GPEB), British Columbia.
- Must obtain or maintain a Serving It Right certification.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.

The Resort you see today was once the St. Eugene Mission, a residential school for First Nations youth. Following a dark period of our history, we powerfully chose to reclaim the Mission building as a way forward, a place for learning and economic development for our future generations.
