About the role
Reporting to the Health and Wellness manager, the incumbent is responsible for using evidence-based research to develop programs designed to help residents stay fit and healthy, and to support their individual wellness objectives. The kinesiologist applies principles of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology and psychomotor behavior to improve health and support injury prevention and plays a critical role in supporting the active aging community.

- Your Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Exercise science, or Exercise Physiology.
- Minimum two years of experience creating, delivering, and assessing programs to support health and wellness.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
What you will get to do:
- Develop programs tailored to individual resident wellness goals using personal health and fitness assessments.
- Define personalized exercise programs and provide guidance to improve health, avoid injury, and maximize performance.
- Conduct private and small group personal training sessions aligned with wellness assessments.
- Collaborate with the Wellness team to support a holistic approach to resident wellness.
- Manage daily activities and ensure cleanliness and functionality of the Fitness Centre as well as provide orientation for fitness equipment and center operations.
