AirPro SAR Services Inc., a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, is proud to support Canada’s Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) program. Our mission is clear: keep Canada’s CC295 Kingfisher fleet mission-ready to save lives across one of the largest and most challenging search and rescue regions in the world.

We are currently looking for a Technical Publications Specialist to join our Ottawa-based team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the technical accuracy and reliability of publications and documentation used by maintenance crews across the country. Your work will help ensure every aircraft is equipped to launch when the call comes, because in SAR, every second counts.

Your Impact

• Develop, validate, publish, and maintain technical content in Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) format.
• Oversee publication maintenance, updates, and translations performed by contracted personnel.
• Create and manage Support Procedures as per S1000D specifications.
• Analyze and implement publication change requests in coordination with Airbus and DND stakeholders.
• Act as a focal point for customer interaction on documentation-related topics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and compliance with program requirements.

What You Bring

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (aeronautical or maintenance background preferred).
• 5–7 years of technical support experience in an aerospace or defence environment.
• Minimum 2 years working with IETMs and familiarity with S1000D standards.
• Solid command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple streams of work.
• Proficient in English; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
• Project management experience is considered an asset.
• Eligible for Government of Canada security clearance.
• Willingness to travel as needed across Canada or internationally.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid model (min. 50% onsite in Ottawa).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the C-295 platform.
• Familiarity with DND programs or work on military contracts.
