We are currently hiring for the position of:
Seasonal Retail Sales Associate
- Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Seasonal Retail Sales Associate is responsible for servicing the Retail Shop and Pop-up and its customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory/Merchandising:
- Merchandise handling, restocking, organizing, folding, receiving and pricing
- Maintain cleanliness and appealing aesthetic of TIFF Shop
Operations:
- Greet, watch and engage with customers
- Demonstrate product knowledge and interact with customers around the Shop to meet their needs and drive sales
- Perform accurate transactions on POS system
- Open and closing duties as assigned
- Other duties as required
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
- Job Grade 1
- Job Grade Salary Range 17.20/ hr
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
- Aug 1, 2025- Sep 14, 2025
WORK LOCATION:
- Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
- Festival Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience in retail and/or customer service position
- system (Knowledge of Givex POS and/or Shopify is an asset)
- Previous cash handling experience
SKILL:
- Strong communication skills
- Takes direction well
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in film, non-profits, arts and culture is considered an asset
Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
Must be available to work all days of the Toronto International Film Festival
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- May be required to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Some physical activity required including lifting items up to 35 lbs
