The Specialist - EPS Operations will be responsible for administrative tasks including posting of disposition, processing purchase allocation, coding of forms in the system, receiving incoming mail/faxes and reconciling daily packages. Process stock trades, issuance and fund movement, corresponding with brokers and transfer agents for trade settlements. Perform monthly reconciliation and tax remittances. Research and resolve various types of inquiries.

Key Accountabilities

• Process ESP/RSP/TFSA contributions and purchase allocations
• Process ESP/RSP/TFSA and Managed shares sales and transfer requests
• Process stock option exercises and restricted stock releases, including client correspondence, adjustments, and processing payment instructions
• Process and balance special runs such as interest allocations, dividend payments, DRIP, etc
• Process routine and non-routine (high risk) account maintenance, including demographic updates, blackout restrictions, vest schedule changes, participant groupings, etc
• Perform research to resolve queries, take instructions for material requests and replacement of missing cheques
• Perform monthly reconciliation on cash balance and share holdings and tax remittances to CRA

• Participate in regular department meetings.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Must Have (s)

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Strong proficiency with Google Suite, MS Office Suite and other desktop applications. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookup and pivot table), required
• Willingness and ability to adapt to changes and responsibilities
• Must have a flexible schedule to work overtime as the need arises
• Ability to multi-task and meet quick turnaround times
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to analyze, problem solve and work independently
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and effectively connect with peers and all levels of the company
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

Nice Have (s)

• Understanding of SOARS/ESPP and Link4 mainframe applications, an asset
• Financial services proven experience an asset
