Division: Land & Property Advisory Solutions

Responsibilities
- Conduct land and easement acquisition activities for projects in the Right-of-Way (ROW), energy, and renewable industries, as directed by the Project Manager and client.
- Engage and communicate effectively with landowners, project stakeholders, and the LandSolutions team to facilitate project goals.
- Provide support for office-based tasks as needed, under the direction of the Team Lead Admin, Project Coordinator, and management.
- Maintain regular reporting updates for the Administrator, Land Agents, Project Coordinators, and management as required.
- Adapt to project changes, including deadlines, scope, and geographic location, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Participate in evaluating new initiatives and procedures, contributing to the identification of opportunities for process improvements.
- Uphold safety standards by using appropriate safety equipment, following procedures, and engaging in mandatory safety training.
- Ensure compliance with LandSolutions’ policies, procedures, and applicable legal regulations.
- Foster daily interactions and collaboration with employees across all LandSolutions offices, as well as with field personnel.
- Work closely with Project Coordinators, ROW/Negotiation Agents, Land Analysts, and management to ensure seamless project execution.
- Interact professionally with clients through various communication channels, including telephone, email, and in-person meetings when necessary.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality results, including the completion of land acquisition and stakeholder engagement tasks such as Surface Leases, Rights of Way, Option to Purchase agreements, Participant Involvement Programs, Damage Releases, and Rent Reviews.
- Contribute to large linear project consultation and acquisition efforts.
- Engage with Indigenous groups, residents, and local authorities to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Provide construction liaison support to ensure smooth project progress.
- Demonstrate initiative in pursuing ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Land Agent (other work experience or education may be credited)
- Experience or familiarity with agriculture, construction, environmental issues, public relations, and public awareness
- Knowledge of applicable acts, guides, and regulations
- 2 years post-secondary diploma in a related field
- Alberta Land Agent's License
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Commissioner of Oaths within the Province of Alberta
- Daily use of personal computer and vehicle
