After Care Provider (Part-Time)
London Waldorf School is seeking applicants for the position of After Care Provider for the 2025 - 26 school year.

Hours of Work & Compensation
The usual hours of work for this position will be scheduled between 3:00 to 6:00pm, each weekday that school is in session. This position is on a part-time contract starting August 25, 2025, until June 19, 2026.
- The rate of pay is $20.59 per hour plus 5% vacation pay.
- This position will have access to sick days and personal days, and will be paid for Public Holidays.
- PD days, Winter Break, and March Breaks are unpaid (2 weeks each).
After Care Responsibilities
- Work with a wide age range of children from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
- Respond in an age appropriate manner when addressing the needs of the young child.
- Work independently and assume responsibility for the whole group and/or individual children.
- Follow up with class teachers when an issue around a child arises.
- Communicate clearly and appropriately, verbally and in writing with coworkers and parents
- Demonstrate warmth, and compassion in working with both children and adults
- Maintain an orderly and clean environment
- Implement programming based on Waldorf pedagogy.
- Support a healthy community of students and their families
Qualifications
- At least two years of teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- A diploma or degree in the field of education is an asset
- Previous experience working with children is crucial
- Qualities that will be helpful in doing this job: creativity, flexibility, initiative
- Being willing and able to work as part of a team is imperative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with an approachable manner towards parents and colleagues
- Experience working with children with exceptionalities is an asset
- Previous experience in a Waldorf/Steiner school or knowledge of Waldorf education is an asset
- Physical ability to attend to children’s needs.
- First Aid certification (Standard First Aid with CPR-C)
