Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Administrator is responsible for providing support of human resource related activities for the Society throughout the organization. This position primarily assists with employee compensation and benefits. Administrative support for learning and development and recruitment may be required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Post-Secondary diploma or Certificate focusing on human resources
- CPHR designation is an asset
- Human Resource administration experience in a not-for-profit environment is an asset
- Demonstrate strong administrative skills and workload/project prioritization
- Detail oriented, self-directed, with strong conflict management
- Demonstrate sound judgement and maintain confidentially in maintaining critical and sensitive information
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Very strong in the ability to formulate and use Excel
- A people person who values diversity and thrives in a collaborative team environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The efficient day-to-day operation of the Regina Open Door Society's culturally diverse organization is maintained through a collaborative approach with the Executive Director, Directors, Managers and staff through consensus based decision making. The Assistant compliments the Manager of Human Resources as part of the team.
Assist in the administration of the employee group benefits program, Saskatchewan Pension Plan and Workers Compensation claims.
- By using the employee excel tracking system, identify and provide eligible employees application for benefits, and Saskatchewan Pension Plan.
- Monitor enrollment and coordinate with Payroll Administrator that deductions are being made.
- Track paper trail to ensure benefit and Saskatchewan Pension Plan deadlines are being met
Assist with staff onboarding process to ensure that timely, organized and comprehensive procedures are followed.
- Distribute and receive new hires to explain benefits, Tax forms and Saskatchewan Pension Plan and assist with paperwork when required
- Manage the preparation of employee identification cards, badges and passes.
- Assist with scheduling orientation presentations to educate new hires on policy, procedures and Replicon
Documentation, and HR tracking
Verification and maintenance of documentation relating to all personnel activities including but not limited to: addresses, emergency contacts, tax forms, compensation, absences, staffing, recruitment, probationary periods, years of services, performance management and evaluations and Records of Employment
- Maintain and update HR Employee Tracking system and Organisational chart as employees onboard, change positions or exit Regina Open Door.

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive employee and public contact and frequent interruptions. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting.
Salary Level/Classification
The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a one hour unpaid lunch break and every second Friday or Monday off.
The annual salary for this position is $53,414.84 per year ($30.44 per hour) at Admin level 3 (step 1) category. All positions at RODS require a clean criminal record check.
