Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious dishes while adhering to food safety standards and ensuring an efficient kitchen operation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adapt to changing menus or special dietary requests as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A passion for the culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
