About Us: Clever Daycare is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set and a commitment to maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.
Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician at Clever Daycare, you will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep and repair of our 3 daycare facilities. Your duties will include:
- Owning the maintenance aspect of the daycare- we are looking for someone who is more than a "task-doer" and has an ownership mindset.
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
- Implement preventative maintenance measures
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Assist with pick-ups and deliveries of Clever Daycare's material
- Monitor all work being performed by outside contractors, including performing appliance repairs, installing wall protectors, RTU maintenance, locksmith services, boiler system maintenance, fire system maintenance, lighting repairs and maintenance, and inspecting and testing fire protection systems.
If you are a skilled Handyman who takes pride in your craft and thrives on diverse tasks, we strongly encourage you to submit your application. The hourly wage is open to negotiation and will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge and skillset. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Canada.
Note: we are open to work with you as a contractor or an employee. We do require you to be available during the working day (9 am to 5 pm) for the most part.
Qualifications:
- Must be experienced and a self-starter- the ability to work independently is a must
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, coordinator, or similar role
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Skilled in various repair and maintenance tasks
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
