ELNG 200 – Multilingualism and the Classroom
This course prepares future teachers to develop critical multilingual language awareness. It helps students to develop an understanding of language development across social contexts as well as how classroom instruction can constitute and maintain social categories. Students will become familiar with literacy instruction that works to foster equity and justice in the classroom and beyond. There is a 8 hour maximum field observation component.

This course is part of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education YNTEP Program offered in Whitehorse, YT.

Position Requirements

Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset. Preference may be given to local candidates.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and the work associated with this position must be performed within Canada.

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
