We are seeking a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and assisting with various clerical tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks including data entry and filing documents.
- Answer phone calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Maintain organized office records and ensure all files are up to date.
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including invoicing and tracking payments.
- Support the medical office staff by managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations and assist with special projects as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy and speed for data entry tasks.
- Experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred, particularly in a medical office setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
