Job Summary:

As a member of the Security Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests and customers while they enjoy Niagara Clifton Group’s properties on Clifton Hill.

Start: ASAP.

Shifts: Evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Type: Part-time - Full-Time Seasonal

Compensation: $18.20 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees;
• Assess behaviour, identify suspicious activity and potential threats;
• Provide instructions and information to guests;
• Respond to public or employee safety issues, alarms, and other emergency situations;
• Inform Management of all incidents, including preparing written reports;
• Be visible to customers as they enter and exit the premises;
• Physically check all property points through routine inspections of the premises;
• Collaborate with team members, department heads, and law enforcement when necessary;
• Handle upset customers in a friendly and courteous manner; and
• Assist the overall operation by performing duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Ministry of Ontario Security License;
• Use of Force;
• Smart Serve;
• First Aid/ CPR;
• Minimum of 1 year previous experience as a Security Guard; and
• Enrollment or completion of Police Foundations is considered an asset.

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal;
• Must be able to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays;
• Ability to remain calm and perform duties under stressful conditions;
• Excellent conflict resolution skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
