About the role

Reports to: Director of Product

Location: Fredericton, NB preferred. Remote applicants in Canada will be considered, and remote employees will travel to Beauceron’s office during onboarding and as needed.

Who We Are:
At Beauceron Security, we’re redefining how organizations think about cybersecurity by putting people first. We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer who is passionate about crafting accessible, intuitive experiences — and who’s excited to use AI tools to amplify creativity, insight, and velocity.

As we evolve our platform for greater scale and simplicity, you’ll help shape how our users succeed and how our product feels. This is a collaborative role with meaningful influence — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of thoughtful design, emerging technology, and user empowerment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and Execute Beauceron’s UX Strategy: Own the design of key product areas from concept to execution, collaborating closely with product and development teams.
  • Establish Design Standards: Create and maintain scalable UX/UI guidelines, reusable components, and a lightweight design system to drive visual consistency, WCAG-compliant accessibility, and stability across interfaces.
  • Support Frontend Migration: Partner with developers as we transition from jQuery/Bootstrap 5 to a modern stack, guiding component architecture and interface design.
  • Design Full User Journeys: Perform research, create interactive prototypes and perform usability testing across both customer- and partner-facing interfaces.
  • Elevate UX & UI Quality: Work closely with Product, Development, Customer Success, customers and channel partners to deeply understand pain points, co-create solutions, and continuously improve the product’s usability, accessibility, and visual consistency while balancing user needs with technical feasibility.
  • Leverage AI: Use AI-powered design tools to enhance ideation, prototyping, and insight generation while maintaining quality and usability.
  • Analyze Behavior Data and Feedback: Use AI and analytics tools to surface patterns, inform design choices, and track outcomes.
  • Prototype & Iterate Quickly: Explore and validate ideas through wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes with fast feedback cycles.
  • Advise & Educate: Share design best practices, accessibility standards, and UX principles with the broader team to improve cross-functional decision-making.
  • Mentor & Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with peers, contributing to a positive, learning-focused design culture embedded in product strategy and development.
  • Stay informed: Keep up-to-date with design trends, tools and AI developments to evolve our practice.
  • Take on other design-related responsibilities as needed.

What Success Looks Like:

  • 3 months: You’ve assessed core UX flows, run usability reviews, and identified key areas for improvement. You’ve also begun integrating AI-assisted workflows into your process.
  • 6 months: You’ve contributed reusable patterns to our design system and delivered high-fidelity designs for key features.
  • 12 months: You’ve delivered measurable UX improvements tied to user satisfaction, adoption, or workflow efficiency.

**What You Bring:**You may be a strong candidate if you have:

  • 5–7+ years of hands-on UX/UI experience, especially in B2B SaaS or enterprise applications.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, problem-solving, and high-quality interface work (especially in B2B or data-heavy products).
  • Experience creating or contributing to a design system.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.).
  • Exposure to or interest in AI-enhanced design tools to support faster, smarter design work.
  • Familiarity with Bootstrap and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS, design-to-dev handoff, and responsive design.
  • Ability to draw insights from user behavior data using analytics platforms.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a small team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and disciplines.
  • Knowledge and commitment to WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • A curious, open mindset and keep up to date with new design technologies and best practices.
  • Alignment with Beauceron’s mission and values.

We know great designers come from many paths. Even if you don’t meet every single qualification, we encourage you to apply if this role excites you.
